Telecom customer base drops

Telecom subscriber number decreases to 117 crore in Oct 2022 with VIL losing 35 lakh mobile customers.

Only Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel added new consumers in October while other other providers like Vodfone Idea and state-owned BSNL lost a big client base.

In India, the number of telephone subscribers fell from 1,171.92 million at the end of September 22 to 1,170.45 million by October 22.

According to the latest official numbers given by the telecom regulator, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea, India’s total mobile subscribers fell to 114.36 crore at the end of October, down from 114.54 crore a month earlier.
