Steve Blackman to develop Horizon Zero Dawn series for Netflix

Steve Blackman of The Umbrella Academy has renewed his eight-figure overall deal with the streamer.

Under his newly launched Irish Cowboy production banner, he will write and produce new series and other projects for Netflix.

He is currently working on two science fiction series: Horizon Zero Dawn, based on the PlayStation action-adventure game, is an event-level project with relatable characters.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a thousand-year-future epic sci-fi adventure series.

Horizon Zero Dawn, which was released in 2017, has sold over 20 million copies worldwide on PlayStation 4 and PC.

The game was built on the ruins of the ‘Old Ones,’ our modern-day United States.
