YouTube to change its profanity policies

YouTube has stated that the phrases “hell” and “damn” will no longer be considered under its policy on foul language and graphic violence.

This week, the gaming community reacted angrily to the sudden demonetization of specific gaming videos on YouTube. The video-sharing and social media network also revised its content rules for advertisers.

In a video that has received over a million views, YouTuber Daniel Condren examined how the new limits would effect his channel.

Condren has been dealing with the compliance modifications after having a dozen or so clips demonetized and his appeals dismissed. He stated that if this continues, he believes he would lose his entire livelihood.
