“Over 2.5 years of development, 560+ pages of script, 85+ days of shoot, and nearly 8 months of post-production,” he tweeted, sharing some unseen behind-the-scenes photos from the sets of “Scam 1992.” Hundreds of people’s efforts, millions of people’s affection. It’s been a year since it started streaming. Thank you so much, guys. Thank you, viewers. You’re welcome, universe. “It’s been a year since #Scam1992.”
‘Scam 1992,’ set in Bombay in the 1980s and 1990s, catapulted actor Pratik Gandhi to stardom. The 10-episode series chronicles the story of Harshad Mehta, an Indian stockbroker who, on his own, revolutionised the way brokers trade in the stock market.

Mehta, dubbed the “Big Bull” of Dalal Street, soared to stratospheric heights before collapsing after being named and accused of multiple financial offences in the 1992 securities fraud.
Mehta was discovered to have manipulated stocks by unlawfully borrowing money from a number of institutions while using forged receipts.
Sony’s internet video streaming technology serves as the basis for the show. Liv is based on the book ‘The Scam: Who Won, Who Lost, Who Got Away,’ by business journalist Sucheta Dalal and her husband Debashis Basu.
At the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2021, the series won the Dadasaheb Phalke award for Best Web Series 2020, as well as Best Drama Series and Best Direction.

It also won the ITA Award for Best Actor-Web Series and the ITA Award for Landmark-OTT (to Pratik Gandhi).
