Former astronaut reveals that the Sun is actually white, not yellow

A Twitter account called ‘Latest in Space,’ which posts space facts, tweeted, Space Fact: The sun is actually white, but appears yellow due to Earth’s atmosphere.

A former NASA astronaut revealed on September 12 that the Sun is white, not yellow.

At the time of writing, the post had 11.3K likes and 1,247 retweets.

It was met with scepticism from a number of users who refused to believe it was true.

However, former NASA astronaut Scott Kelly noticed the commotion as well. ‘I can confirm this space fact,’ he tweeted after seeing the post.

The Sun is not burning, and no lava has been seen on its surface.

The explosions and heat are caused by the Sun’s continuous nuclear fusion reactions.

While this should be common knowledge, it does not appear to be widespread.

Former NASA astronaut Scott Kelly noticed the uproar and decided to put an end to the debate once and for all.
