Apple iOS 16 has the internet obsessed with their ‘photo cutout’ feature

iOS 16 was released last night, and the internet is already obsessed with ‘photo cutout.’

Long-pressing on the subject of a photo allows users to copy and paste it elsewhere.

The cutout tool, which is hidden far down the iOS 16 feature list, allows the user to “lift the subject from an image or isolate the subject.”

Open a photo and long-press on the subject, which could be a person, an animal, or an object.

If the iPhone detects the subject (which it frequently does), you can either copy it or hold and lift to drag it directly onto another app.

Users have been flocking to Twitter to share freshly cut-out animals.
