In the Criminal Minds revival, a new, terrifying UnSub will make his debut.

The team of FBI criminal profilers will face off against the show’s most dangerous villain yet.

Paget Brewster, an original cast member, revealed last month that ABC and CBS were negotiating a licencing agreement.

Season 16 of Criminal Minds will centre on the BAU’s “greatest threat yet.”

The UnSub, or unknown subject, is a serial killer who has used the pandemic to establish a network of other serial killers.

Season 16 will see the departure of Matthew Gray Gubler and Daniel Henney.

It’s possible that new characters will be introduced to Criminal Minds to help the veterans.

A premiere date for Criminal Minds season 16 is still very much TBA.

TVLine reported that the project is in the earliest stages of development.

As a result, there aren’t any deals in place with the cast or writers yet.

One of the series key stars presumed to be returning threw cold water on the idea.

Every cast member from seasons 12-15 has been invited to return for the new season.

If Criminal Minds is going to be a limited series, then it might make sense to focus on one big case with a few smaller unsub side cases thrown in for good measure.

The writers may have a chance to try riskier forms of storytelling that didn’t make sense in the final season.
