Art Tracks on YouTube officially reopen

“Art Tracks” are comments on auto-generated music/song videos. If the channel’s comment setting is set to “Allow all comments” or “Hold possibly inappropriate comments for evaluation,” comments will appear on Art Tracks.

This feature may not be present in the YouTube Music clients, but it is an intriguing notion for expanding the app’s functionality beyond content watching.

It would turn YouTube Music into a sort of music social network, similar to iTunes Ping.

The unmoderated nature of such open comment areas is a significant issue, but there are benefits to increasing engagement.
