After a video of the namazis went viral, the case was filed on charges of inciting religious feelings.

Some organisations have accused the mall owners of being anti-Muslim, which the management has denied.

Four of the eight Muslim men seen offering namaz at a mall in Uttar Pradesh on July 12 have been apprehended by police.

Some Hindu organisations have accused those who use public space for religious purposes of violating communal harmony.

“No religious prayers will be permitted in the mall,” the management has posted on a sign.
