One plane was diverted to Delhi, while the other safely returned to its original location.
Both aircraft have been grounded and will only fly once the aviation regulator has given the all-clear.
Aircraft maintenance technicians from both GoFirst and IndiGo have called in sick at various airports in recent weeks to protest low pay.
An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Vadodara was safely diverted to Jaipur on Thursday night as a precautionary measure after an engine failure.
