Zee News apologizes for misrepresenting Rahul Gandhi’s comments on the Udaipur killing

Zee News attempted to misrepresent Gandhi’s comments on the vandalism of his constituency office in Wayanad, Kerala, as his response to the Udaipur killing.

The video has since been removed from the Hindi news channel’s YouTube channel, and the tweet has been deleted.

Rohit Ranjan, who hosted the prime-time show ‘DNA,’ on which the byte aired, also apologised on Twitter.

The false claim was made by Zee News after it was repeated by several Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Ajay Sherawat.

Rahul Gandhi went to his vandalised Wayanad constituency office and spoke with journalists about it.
