Warner Bros. Discovery describes 2023 as the year to relaunch and rebuild after several layoffs

Following the acquisition of Warner Media last April, Warner Bros. Discovery will relaunch and rebuild the company in 2023, following several layoffs, tax write-offs, and company restructuring.

In the last year, the corporation cancelled events and erased titles, which irritated many fans because some of them were major names.

Gunnar Widenfels regarded these judgements as a’reflection of an industry that went crazy, that went on a spending frenzy’. Warner Bros. is HBO Max’s parent company.

Discovery laid off 14% of its personnel in August 2022 due to parent company restructuring. The corporation stressed that the layoffs were not the result of poor employee performance, but rather of a corporate choice.
