Fees per minute and per mile will rise by 7.4% and 24%, respectively. Based on the difference in inflation rates between December and September of this year, drivers are also likely to get a new rate increase by March 2023.

Uber contends the city’s estimate of the per-mile price hike is incorrect and is 16% higher because it does not account for annual changes that would take effect in 2020 and 2022.

The lawsuit requests that the court declare the TLC rises invalid and suspend their implementation while the dispute is being contested.
