Tesla offers discounts or free Supercharging on the purchase of a new Model S or Model X

With the purchase of a new Model S or Model X, Tesla is now offering discounts or free Supercharging. The company is demanding owners to trade in their current vehicle.

The deal is dubbed a “Ownership Loyalty Offer,” which could imply that Tesla is attempting to retain current owners. Tesla’s price cuts in early January were the automaker’s first attempt to stimulate sales, and they sparked a price war among EV manufacturers.

In response, Ford announced discounts of up to $5,900 on Mustang Mach-E variants this morning. Tesla produced nearly 1.3 million vehicles last year, but CEO Elon Musk believes the business can deliver 2 million units this year.
