Tesla offers $7,500 to US consumers who buy its most popular EV models

Tesla is giving $7,500 to US consumers who buy one of its most popular electric vehicle (EV) models before the end of the year. This is because the amount of a tax credit to which certain customers are entitled is projected to change at the start of the next calendar year.

This quarter, Tesla reduced both pricing and output in that market. In the three months ending in September, Tesla’s manufacturing exceeded deliveries by more than 22,000 vehicles. The automaker cautioned shareholders that another production over-delivery gap is likely this quarter.
