After less than a year, the Tanzanian government has lifted its 15% price cap on e-hailing businesses such as Uber and Bolt.

Uber discontinued many services in April of last year, claiming that decreasing the commission on partners would limit their income.

After a brief hiatus, Uber is back in business in Tanzania. Lorraine Onduru, Uber’s East and West Africa head of communications, has stated that the company will soon implement new pricing for passenger prices.
