Rockstar Games issues statement in response to the GTA 6 leak

According to Rockstar, the development of Grand Theft Auto 6 will not be postponed.

GTA 6 leaks seem to confirm a female protagonist and a Vice City setting.

The leaks have left Rockstar “extremely disappointed,” but development will continue as planned.

On September 18, gameplay footage and details were leaked online.

Unauthorized third parties gained access to and downloaded sensitive information from Rockstar’s servers.

Rockstar has confirmed that this included early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto game.

The company anticipates no long-term impact on its ongoing projects, including GTA 6.

“We are extremely disappointed to have any details of our next game shared in this manner,” said Rockstar.
