R. Kelly sues MDC Brooklyn for keeping him on suicide watch despite the fact that he is not suicidal

Kelly claims he is being punished by being placed on suicide watch in a Brooklyn detention centre, despite the fact that he has no plans to harm himself.

He filed a lawsuit against MDC Brooklyn, alleging “cruel and unusual punishment” under the harsh conditions of suicide watch.

Kelly claims he was placed on suicide watch after receiving a 30-year prison sentence for sexually abusing underage girls.

He claims he is not suicidal and has informed authorities that he is not suicidal.

Kelly is suing for emotional distress damages.
