Monkeypox Virus can be transmitted through “any close physical contact”

According to Dr. Rituja Ugalmugle, the majority of patients who contract this virus have a family member who has the disease.

Anyone who has symptoms and a history of travel to areas where Monkeypox outbreaks have been reported, or who has had close contact with suspected or confirmed Monkeypox cases, should seek medical attention.

The CDC recommends vaccination for people who have been exposed to monkeypox or are at high risk of exposure.

People who are aware that one of their sexual partners has been diagnosed with monkeypox in the last two weeks should use external protection during sexual activity for 12 weeks after recovery.
