Mahindra XUV400 to be available in January 2023 in India

The XUV400 is the first in a planned three-year line of electric vehicles from Mahindra.

It will be available in India beginning in January 2023.

The vehicle has the same exterior design as the XUV300 but is 4.2 metres longer.

ARAI-certified 456km range and 8.3-second 0-100kmph time.

The XUV400 competes with the Tata Nexon EV Max and the entry-level MG ZS EV Excite.

The car is expected to hit showrooms in December of this year, with bookings and test drives beginning at the same time.

It has a 39.4kW lithium-ion battery pack and an ARAI-certified range of 456km.

The electric motor produces 150bhp/310Nm and takes 13 hours to charge from 0% to 100%.

The XUV400 comes standard with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, analogue instrument cluster with black and white MID, leatherette seats, driver rake adjustment, and split folding rear seats.

This battery pack can be charged from 0 to 80 in 50 minutes using a 50kW DC fast charger.

It takes 6 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 when using a standard 3.3 kW/16A domestic socket.
