Zuckerberg tells Rogan following an FBI warning, Facebook removed Hunter Biden’s laptop story

Following FBI warnings, Facebook did limit stories related to the New York Post story on President Biden’s son Hunter Biden and his laptop.

He stated that he does not want Facebook to be the “ministry of truth” in determining what is misinformation.

His defence of the FBI comes as conservatives have chastised the agency for conducting a search of President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

The FBI warned Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg about potentially polarising content ahead of the 2020 presidential election, according to Zuckerberg.

This came after Russia used social media platforms, including Facebook, to spread polarising content in the run-up to the 2016 election.

Zuckerberg stated that he took the warning seriously and limited stories about the story. He stood up for the FBI as a “legitimate institution.”
