Zinedine Zidane believes Karim Benzema will win the Ballon d’Or this year.

This season, Benzema scored 44 goals in 46 appearances for Real Madrid. That easily surpassed his previous season high of 32 strikes in 2011-12.

The striker scored 15 goals in 12 Champions League appearances and was the tournament’s standout player this season.

After defeating PSG in the round of 16, Benzema scored in each leg of the semi-final win over Manchester City.

The 34-year-old was in excellent form all season, scoring 15 goals in 12 Champions League appearances and adding another treble against Chelsea.

Between 2016 and 2018, the Frenchman led the club to an unprecedented three consecutive European titles.

Karim Benzema has thrived since taking over as the focal point of the attack at the Bernabeu in place of Cristiano Ronaldo. The 27-year-old is currently the world’s most complete attacking player.
