Uno Minda intends to increase revenue from the aftermarket by 25%

Uno Minda, a manufacturer of automotive components, plans to grow its aftermarket business by more than 25% over the next 4-5 years.

The current aftermarket revenue stands at Rs 800-900 crore (annually).

The aftermarket division of the company currently distributes 12 major product categories and has a distribution network of 8,000 business partners, over 12,000 retailers, and over 6,000 mechanics.

Uno Minda is targeting a revenue of Rs 1,500 crore revenue from its joint venture with German firm FRIWO.

Last December, the company announced a joint venture to manufacture and supply various electric vehicle components for two- and three-wheelers in the subcontinent.

These components are currently manufactured at the company’s Pune facility under the controller division.

According to Volvo India’s Kamal Bali, the future is about collaboration as well as competition.

Toyota’s Hyryder, the first mass-market hybrid, aims to disrupt the mid-size SUV segment.
