Twitter to launch long-form blogging feature, Twitter Notes
Twitter is reportedly working on a long-form blogging feature called Twitter Notes.
Leaks and reports of such a feature have been circulating for months. It would let users write formatted blog posts complete with pictures, links, and embedded tweets.
The feature is currently known as Notes, and it is prominently displayed in beta versions of the Twitter app. However, while the feature is reportedly ready to go live in the coming weeks, it could be delayed by further testing.
Directly posting articles and notes to Twitter may make the text indexable for marketing and search purposes.
It could complement the company’s nascent Newsletters feature, which it purchased in 2021.
Twitter purchased newsletter firm Revue in 2021 to compete with Substack, and has since integrated Revue newsletters into user profiles.
