Twitter suspends third-party apps

Twitter’s third-party apps, including Tweetbot and Echofon, have been unreachable via the website.

According to internal Twitter documents obtained by The Information, the disruptions were planned to encourage users of competing apps to switch to Twitter’s official clients.

Twitter reportedly threatened ad buyers that their jobs were in jeopardy if they did not increase ad spending.

Following a difficult year, Twitter introduces two new tabs that will alter users’ default feeds. It appears that the social networking app is attempting to replicate TikTok’s For You page.
