Strong vs. Mild Hybrid in the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV
In the domestic auto market, the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara has caused quite a stir.
Buyers’ enthusiasm for the product has resulted in over 50,000 bookings.
The strong-hybrid variants account for nearly half of these bookings.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be available with two 1.5-litre petrol engines.
The mild-hybrid model will have an industry-leading fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl.
The MT AWD variant with AllGrip technology has the lowest mileage at 19.38 kmpl.
The MT 2WD variants will have a fuel efficiency of 21.11 kmpl, while the AT 2WD will have a fuel efficiency of 20.58 kmpl.
The mild and strong hybrid variants of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara have different feature offerings.
The strong variants come with a Lithium Ion battery pack and only an eCVT transmission.
The mild hybrid trim includes features such as a digital instrument panel, a head-up display (HUD), wireless charging, and puddle lamps, as well as other high-end options that are not available in mild hybrid variants.
Because the strong hybrid trim includes a lithium ion battery pack, it is installed in the vehicle’s boot, while the spare wheel is located below the boot.
