Samsung Galaxy S23 does not provide satellite connectivity

The Samsung Galaxy S23 lacks satellite connectivity, which was one of the most prominent features added by Apple when it announced its new iPhone 14 series. The reason behind this is explained by Samsung’s president, TM Roh.

Qualcomm previously confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which powers the S23 series, is capable of supporting satellite functions.

Samsung President DJ Roh says it is too early to predict whether the Korean phone manufacturer will incorporate satellite connectivity into its Galaxy S23 phones.

The tech executive went on to emphasise the famed phone maker’s other efforts, such as the growth of 5G support and sensor advancements on its mobile devices.
