Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announces out-of-term promotions to five police officers

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced that five police officers, Tejpal, Narendra, Shaukat, Vikas, and Gautam, will be given out-of-term promotions for their quick arrest of the accused in the Udaipur tailor killing.

On June 28, Riyaz and Ghaus Mohammad murdered Kanhaiya Lal Sahu with a sharp weapon after stopping at his tailor shop.

The brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal Sahu in Udaipur has sparked outrage across the country.

At the same time, the administration has imposed Section 144 on the entire state as a precaution.

A curfew has also been imposed in seven police station areas.

The NIA will conduct additional investigation, and the Rajasthan ATS will assist in the investigation.
