Netflix exceeded Wall Street expectations by adding more than 7 million customers in the fourth quarter of 2022.

This rise could be an early indication that the company’s move to add adverts for a less expensive subscription would pay off in the long run. For the first time, Netflix’s ad-supported service is included in the company’s earnings calculations.

Netflix has stated that its first-quarter revenue growth will be 4%, rather than the 3.7% predicted by Wall Street. According to Netflix, this increase will be fueled by more paid subscribers and higher income per premium membership.

The company predicts that the practise of lending a Netflix account will end.
