NCB charges actor Rhea Chakraborty in a drug case involving Sushant Singh Rajput

Rhea Chakraborty was charged with drug possession in the name of her actor-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, who died in 2020.

She is accused of purchasing and financing a small amount of marijuana. If convicted, she could spend more than ten years in prison.

The allegations against her have been dubbed a “witch hunt” by the actor.

Sushant Singh’s family has accused Rhea Chakraborty of mentally harassing him, exploiting him for money, and playing a role in his death.

The Bombay High Court granted her bail almost a month after her arrest.

Following the death of actor Sushantsant Singh who was discovered dead in his apartment, the NCB launched an investigation into drug use in Bollywood and the television industry.
