Oleg Artemyev and Denis Matveev will embark on the six-and-a-half-hour journey from the station’s space-facing Poisk module.

The European arm will be used to transport payloads and equipment outside of the station’s Russian segment.

It will work alongside the Canadian-built Canadarm2 robotic arm and the Japanese arm, both of which are already supporting station maintenance, operations, and research.
