NASA and Boeing to hold a media briefing on the progress of the Starliner

NASA and Boeing will hold a media conference call on Thursday, August 25 at 1 p.m. EDT.

The conference call will include an update on the agency’s Boeing Crew Flight Test (CFT).

CFT is the company’s first flight with astronauts aboard its CST-100 Starliner spacecraft.

NASA will conduct the flight test with two astronaut test pilots, Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Suni Williams.

During a NASA teleconference on Wednesday, the CST-100 Starliner spacecraft and systems for regular crew rotation to the International Space Station will be discussed.

Media are welcome to attend, but must RSVP to [email protected] no later than one hour before the event begins.

The audio from the teleconference will be streamed live on NASA’s website.

CFT will show that Starliner and the United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V rocket can safely transport astronauts to and from the International Space Station.
