On June 27, Mohammed Zubair was arrested for allegedly hurting religious sentiments in a four-year-old tweet.

In a Delhi court, his lawyer stated that “formatting a phone is not illegal,” while the police claimed a criminal conspiracy.

The bail plea hearing was also marred by controversy, with the police claiming he’d been denied bail even though the court has yet to rule.

On June 20, a police officer saw a tweet objecting to Mr Zubair’s tweet and filed a FIR. It’s not just a simple tweet, say the cops.

He deleted everything on purpose.

It is critical to delete data from the phone after filing a FIR.
