Microsoft has begun developing casual games for its Microsoft Teams service.
Inside Microsoft Teams, Microsoft has begun testing casual games such as Solitaire, Connect 4, and Wordament.
Microsoft is currently only testing casual games from its Casual Games offering internally.
Casual games are intended to allow coworkers to compete against one another during meetings.
The company may decide not to make this integration available to consumers and businesses.
Microsoft also sees virtual spaces within Teams where colleagues can network and socialise through games.
These virtual spaces are part of Microsoft’s larger metaverse plans, and the company has previously detailed its ambitions for 3D avatars and immersive meetings in Microsoft Teams, which are expected to arrive this year.
