Bumrah rose to prominence as a result of his unconventional behaviour. His run-up is brief, with the first few strides consisting of small, stuttering strides.

He has an unusual, stiff-armed action that generates high pace, and his unusual point of release makes reading his bowling difficult for batsmen. [ He bowls consistently outside the off-stump or short.

Bumrah is regarded as one of the fastest Indian bowlers, with an average speed of 142 km/h and a top speed of 153 km/h.

Mohammed Shami is the Indian bowler with the most ODI wickets.

He became the second Indian bowler to claim a hat-trick in a World Cup match during the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Shami has an A grade central contract from the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) as of 2022, the second highest contract grade.

Yuzvendra Chahal bowls leg breaks. Chahal became only the second player in T20I history to take six wickets, and the first Indian to do so.

He was the first concussion substitute to be named international cricket match man of the match.
