Jack Ryan Season 3
Amazon has given the green light to the third season of Jack Ryan.
According to showrunner Carlton Cuse, it took a year and a half to create and is roughly the length of an eight-hour film.
Four different directors and crews shot at the same time across five continents.
The cast has grown to include Zuleikha Robinson and Okieriete Onaodowan.
Betty Gabriel has taken over as Chief of Station Elizabeth Wright from Marianne Jean-Baptiste.
Michael Pea will play an unspecified role in the film.
She was noticeably absent from season two, and fans have demanded explanations for her absence.
According to reports, she will be a fugitive in season three, fleeing the CIA and a “international rogue faction” after becoming entangled in a conspiracy.
According to Lost creator Carlton Cuse, Jack Ryan’s plot has the potential to broaden the series’ scope.
The show is being shot on three continents by four different directors, with two – and sometimes three – crews shooting at the same time.
“Amazon gave us the time and resources to tell our story on a movie scale and create the show the way we wanted to,” Cuse says.
