Indian multilingual microblogging platform Koo becomes the most downloaded app in Brazil

India’s Koo became the most downloaded app in 48 hours in Brazil. It was the top app on both the Android Play Store and the Apple App Store within hours of its release.
The platform intends to strengthen its global position by making the app available in more countries and launching in multiple global languages.
Within 48 hours of its release in Brazil, Koo has risen to the top of both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Koo announced that they have surpassed 50 million (or 5 crore) downloads this year, with a significant increase in users, time spent, and engagement since January. The platform intends to add another 5 crore users in the coming year.
Koo is a multilingual microblogging platform developed in India to compete with Twitter and its “western interests.”
The Brazilian-developed social media platform was launched with support for the Portuguese language.
