India vs South Africa 1st T20I 2022: South Africa limits to 106/8

South Africa were invited to bat and were limited to 106 for 8 in the first T20 International against India tonight.

Keshav Maharaj was South Africa’s lone warrior, scoring 41 runs against a fire breathing India balling lineup to help South Africa to 106/8 in the first T20I on Wednesday.

Prior to Maharaj’s intervention, the Proteas were struggling in the middle, losing 5 wickets inside the powerplay to Deepak Chahar and Arshdeep Singh.

India won the toss and chose to bat first against South Africa.

Aiden Markram and Wayne Parnell scored 25 and 24 points, respectively, as the visitors struggled in the face of a strong bowling performance by the Indians.

Arshdeep Singh led the Indian bowlers with 3/32, while Deepak Chahar and Harshal Patel each took two wickets.
