How to Disable Dynamic Island Content on the iPhone 14 Pro

The pill-shaped cutout at the top of the screen appears in Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro models.

Because Dynamic Island content is baked into iOS 16, there is currently no way to completely disable it.

If you dismiss the audio waveform and artwork in the Dynamic Island while an album is playing in Apple Music, the music will continue to play in the background.

If Dynamic Island is divided into two background activities and you want to remove one or both, use the same swipe gesture to remove the larger segment.

When you dismiss a timer, it continues to count down in the background even though it is no longer visible on the screen.
