He has over 400 Test wickets to his name, finishing with 417 in 103 Tests, 269 in 236 ODIs, and 25 in 28 T20Is.

Bhajji was a member of the Indian team that won the 2007 T20 World Cup as well as the 2011 ICC World Cup.

Charanjit Singh, Harbhajan Singh’s coach, initially trained him as a batter.

After his coach died, he switched to spin bowling.

This followed 32 wickets in three Tests, including a hat-trick against Australia in 2001.

Bhajji was offered a job in the Punjab police force in 2002.
