for roughly five and a half weeks, far less than the proposed 12-week stint. For an internship, Twitter has hired Alex Hotz, the former CEO of Comma Ai, a driver-assist technology firm. Elon Musk also offered Hotz a multimillion-dollar deal to work for his motor company, Tesla.

But he declined, effectively ending their debate, claiming that he could design a better self-driving auto system.
