BSNL to get administrative allocation of spectrum to help it expand 4G services, says chief executive of telecoms company Vaishnaw – one of India’s biggest operators in the field of mobile communications.
India’s Telecom Minister announced a $20.5 billion package to resurrect state-owned telecom provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL).
The Union Cabinet approved a 1.64 lakh crore package for the revival of state-owned telecom firm BSNL on Wednesday, according to Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The package includes new capital for service upgrades, spectrum allocation, de-stressing its balance sheet, and expanding its fibre network.
