Foreign women harassed by Pakistani men in Islamabad’s Shakarparian

On Independence Day, two female tourists were harassed by a mob in Shakarparian, a tourist attraction in the country’s capital.

The tourists’ identities were not immediately revealed.

Hundreds of people took to social media to express their displeasure with the men who surrounded the women.

Absa Komal, a Pakistani TV anchor who hosts a current affairs show on Dawn News, has demanded that police investigate after her face was shown in a racist video posted on social media.

The video was posted by a TikToker with thousands of followers, who glorified the incident with a racist caption.
