Delhi reports 2,073 new Covid cases, positivity rate rises to 11.64 percent

According to data provided by the health department, Delhi reported 2,073 new Covid cases and five deaths on Wednesday.

This is the third day in a row that the positivity rate has surpassed 10%.

In the last week, the positivity rate and daily Covid cases in the city have steadily increased.

On Tuesday, Delhi reported 1,506 Covid cases and three fatalities, with a test positivity rate of 10.69%.

The previous day’s positivity rate was 11.64 percent.

On June 26, the national capital had recorded 1,891 cases.

Only 376 of the 9,405 coronavirus beds in various Delhi hospitals were occupied on Wednesday.
