David Bruckner’s Hellraiser remake to release on October 7 on Hulu

The Hellraiser franchise returns with a brand new Hulu Original film, and we learned this morning that Hulu’s Hellraiser will premiere on the service on October 7, 2022.

The trailer includes the first look at “Sense8” actress Jamie Clayton as our brand new Hell Priest.

Hulu has had a fantastic year in the horror genre, beginning with Fresh and most recently resurrecting the Predator franchise with Prey.

If the critically acclaimed latter film is any indication, Hulu is serious about rebooting horror franchises, which bodes well for their new Hellraiser film.

“A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension,” according to the plot of the new film.

David Bruckner (The Night House), the director of Netflix’s The Ritual as well as sections of Bloody Disgusting’s horror anthologies V/H/S and Southbound, is in charge of the project.
