Attorneys claim NBA player Montrezl Harrell ‘never’ trafficked marijuana

Montrezl Harrell’s attorneys inform TMZ Sports that the NBA player has “never” trafficked marijuana or been involved in “any other illegal activity.”

Despite prosecutors charging the Charlotte Hornets centre with felony drug possession last month. If convicted on the charge, the 28-year-old could face up to five years in prison.

Harrell was arrested on May 12 after a car he was riding in was pulled over by Kentucky State Police.

According to police documents, the car Harrell was driving contained three pounds of marijuana in vacuum-sealed bags inside a backpack on the back seat.

Harrell was not arrested at the scene and was instead issued a citation before being charged formally.

However, Harrell’s attorneys, Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg, tell us that their client did nothing wrong and are confident that it will be proven in court.
