Asus ROG Phone 6

The Asus ROG Phone 6 isn’t a significant upgrade over its predecessor, the Asus ROG Phone 5s. The usual performance-related improvements are to be expected with every update. Its design is similar to the previous model, with a few differences. However, there is an improved camera setup that could make it a premium all-arounder. The price of the base 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration has risen from Rs. 57,999 to Rs. 71,999.

The Asus ROG Phone 6 finally receives an IPX4 rating, which means it is water resistant. With a thickness of 10.3mm and a weight of 239g, the device remains quite chubby (which is close to a quarter of kilogram).

Even when playing games, the phone feels a little heavy to hold for extended periods of time. I would have preferred thinner bezels at the top and bottom of the screen. The Asus ROG Phone 6 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor and UFS 3.1 storage, which is the best that a premium device can offer.

It also has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and two USB-Type C ports, as well as support for multiple 5G bands. There is no dedicated microSD card slot, but the built-in 256GB storage should suffice. The Asus ROG Phone 6 runs Android 12 and features the brand’s ROG UI and Zen UI overlays.
