Arrested IAS officer’s son dies, cash, mobile phones and other electronic devices recovered

On Saturday, Kartik Popli, the son of Punjab IAS officer Sanjay Popli, died as a result of gunshot wounds.

According to police, the boy shot himself in the head with his father’s licenced pistol.

The incident occurs just days after the Punjab Vigilance Bureau arrested IAS Officer Popli and his accomplice on suspicion of corruption.

Several gold and silver coins, cash, mobile phones, and other electronic devices were recovered from Popli’s home, according to officials.

While the Police said he died by suicide but his family claims he was murdered.
