OpRussia has been one of Anonymous’ most successful campaigns since its inception.
Anonymous is a hacktivist collective that has been compared to everything from a digital Robin Hood to cyber terrorists.
So far, Operation Russia has hacked the Central Bank of Russia, released the personal information of 120,000 Russian soldiers, and gained access to the Kremlin’s CCTV system.
Cyber attacks are no longer solely virtual, as online activities can now be linked to real-world consequences.
Concerns have been raised about the possibility of future attacks on the United Kingdom.
